Page Turner Studios — Book Formatting Services

These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern the provision of book formatting services by Page Turner Studios (“we”, “our”, “us”) to the client (“Client”, “you”).

By purchasing any formatting package or service through our website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Scope of Services

Page Turner Studios provides professional book formatting services for indie authors, including:

• Interior formatting for paperback print (print-ready PDF)

• ePub file creation for digital publication

• Layout styling based on the selected package (Essential, Professional, Premium, or Custom)

The specific inclusions of each package are outlined on the product page at the time of purchase.

2. Booking and Payment

• All services must be paid in full upfront at the time of booking.

• Work will be considered booked and scheduled only upon receipt of full payment.

• All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST unless otherwise stated.

We reserve the right to decline or delay commencement of work until payment has been received and cleared.

3. Client Responsibilities

To commence work, the Client must provide all required materials via our submission process, including:

• Final manuscript (Microsoft Word document only)

• Book title and series information (if applicable)

• Trim size (5×8, 5.5×8.5, 6×9, or custom)

• Print platform (e.g. Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, or other)

• ISBN (if available)

• Cover designer details (if applicable)

• Preferred header and page styling

• Font preferences (if known), or we will match the cover font where possible

• Notes regarding themes, layout preferences, or special formatting requirements

The Client is responsible for ensuring that all materials submitted are final, complete, and ready for formatting.

4. Sample Approval Process

A sample layout will be provided prior to full formatting.

• The Client must review and approve the sample before full formatting begins

• Any requested changes at this stage will be incorporated into the final layout

Approval of the sample confirms that the Client is satisfied with the design direction.

5. Turnaround Time

• Standard turnaround time is 7 business days from the date of sample approval

• Turnaround times may vary depending on project scope and complexity

Delays caused by incomplete information or late responses from the Client may impact delivery timelines.

6. Revisions

• A 30-day revision period is included from the date of final file delivery

• Revisions are limited to layout adjustments and formatting refinements

Additional charges may apply for:

• Substantial manuscript changes

• New content added after formatting has commenced

• Structural edits requiring reformatting

7. Deliverables

Upon completion, the Client will receive a Print PDF, ePub, or both, depending on the chosen package:

• One (1) professionally formatted print-ready PDF

• One (1) ePub file suitable for digital distribution

It is the Client’s responsibility to upload these files to their chosen publishing platform.

8. Intellectual Property and Ownership

• The Client retains full ownership of their manuscript and content

• Page Turner Studios retains ownership of all working files and formatting source files

Source files used to create the final outputs will not be provided.

9. Confidentiality

We respect the confidentiality of all manuscripts.

• All client materials are used solely for the purpose of formatting

• We do not share, distribute, or upload client content to third-party or AI platforms

• All work is handled with strict confidentiality

10. Client Warranties

The Client warrants that:

• They own or have the legal right to use all materials provided

• Their content does not infringe on any copyright or third-party rights

The Client agrees to indemnify Page Turner Studios against any claims arising from the use of supplied materials.

11. Limitation of Liability

Page Turner Studios will take all reasonable care in the delivery of services. However, we are not liable for:

• Errors present in the original manuscript

• Upload or printing errors from third-party platforms (e.g. Amazon KDP, IngramSpark)

• Any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of formatted files

12. Cancellations and Refunds

• Once payment has been made and work has commenced, no refunds will be issued

• If a cancellation is requested prior to formatting commencing, a partial refund may be considered at our discretion

13. Communication

We are committed to friendly, professional communication throughout your project.

Timely responses from the Client will help ensure the project stays on schedule.

14. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.

15. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing a formatting package or service, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
